The consumer products we use every day and the processed foods and whole foods grown by conventional agriculture have a profound negative impact on our Planet: Killing aquatic life, damaging our ozone layer, or destroying rainforests for example. Tera detects them and recommends better alternatives.

Consumers and the Planet Need Protection from Toxic Chemicals
The average person is exposed to over 100 chemicals daily. The EU has banned 1,328 chemicals in cosmetics vs. 12 in the US. We are not protected.
Chemical exposure has been linked to rising rates of cancer, asthma, autism, ADHD, reproductive problems, and other health issues, not to mention the impact on our environment, rivers & oceans, and the ozone layer.
According to the EPA, less than 1% of the 80,000 chemicals used in consumer products in the U.S. have been rigorously tested for human and environmental safety.
Solution: Tera has analyzed and scored 200K+ household cleaning, personal care, and cosmetics products sold in the US at the ingredient level based on international chemical safety standards in collaboration with health and environmental toxicologists. New products are analyzed and scored every day and added to our database.

Version 1.22.1
This release is evolving the UX (user experience) of the Tera App towards an Instacart-like shopping experience.
With this new version, users can:
-Select a store on the App home page, go to that store homepage, and from there browse the aisles where products are ranked from highest to lowest Match Score using the user’s selected shopping preferences, or search for products in that store only and get search results ranked from highest to lowest Match Score, and buy from that store.
-Selected Shopping Preferences are now accessible from a new Profile button in the lower navbar.
-Search for products across all stores from the home page.
Also,
-We created a new simplified Signup/Login process.
-We removed the search page now that search is available from each non-product page.
-We removed the scanner and we will reintroduce it after our product database upgrade is completed which will increase the scan success rate.
